J.C.LUTZ is a Paris-based shoe brand with a double mission: to deliver premium shoes of outstanding quality for their price point while being the best possible corporate citizen. To achieve this, we make only Made-To-Order (MTO) shoes thus avoiding mass production and its severely negative human and environmental consequences.

Our shoes are 100% handcrafted in Italy to customer’s specs by master shoemakers in Le Marche region, renowned worldwide for its generations-old, top-quality shoemaking tradition. They are sold only online and direct-to-consumers thus avoiding the additional overhead of physical and online retailers, wholesalers, agents and importers that increase the final price without enhancing shoe quality.

Thus, customers get hold of a unique, premium pair of shoes that would normally retail for a much higher price while avoiding the waste and pollution of mass production and questionable labor practices.

Today, most fashion items are thrown away without even ever being worn or worn only a few times, sold through sales and outlets if not destroyed altogether for failing to match consumer demand or for not being durable enough to last for a long time.
Workers, including children, are underpaid in sweatshops in one part of the world to produce items that are sold overpriced in another part of the world. Long and dysfunctional production and supply chains yield pollution and unsustainable carbon footprint among the worst in the world.

With our MTO model, we help customers buy 100% made-in-Italy, premium shoes matching perfectly their wishes, built by master craftsmen fairly remunerated in our family-run atelier while respecting all regulations, avoiding any waste and limiting carbon footprint.
